MARVIN MANDEL, Governor                             655

In subsection (f) of this section, the more
modern "savings and loan association" is
substituted for "savings and loan or homestead
association"; in this regard, see Title 6,
Subtitle 2 of the Corporations and
Associations Article.

In subsection (h) of this section, the phrase
"but not by way of limitation" is deleted as
unnecessary since the use of the word
"including" is not intended in any sense to be
exclusionary or limiting; the maxim of
expressio unius est exclusio alterius and
doctrines of similar implication are not
intended, therefore, to be made applicable by
reason of this deletion.

Subsection (j) of this section is new language
setting forth a broad definition of the term
"person."

The only other changes are technical changes
in style.

17-102. ABANDONED PROPERTY OFFICE.

THE ADMINISTRATOR SHALL CREATE A DIVISION OF HIS
OFFICE, TO BE KNOWN AS THE ABANDONED PROPERTY OFFICE, FOR
THE PURPOSE OF ADMINISTERING THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
TITLE. AN APPROPRIATION SHALL BE MADE ANNUALLY FOR THE
MAINTENANCE OF THE OFFICE AND TO PROVIDE SUFFICIENT STAFF
TO ADEQUATELY ENFORCE THE PROVISIONS OF THIS TITLE.
OTHER DIVISIONS OF THE OFFICE OF THE ADMINISTRATOR, AS
HELL AS EVERY STATE OFFICER AND EMPLOYEE GENERALLY, SHALL
ASSIST IN THE ENFORCEMENT OF THIS TITLE IN CONNECTION
WITH THE PERFORMANCE OF THEIR NORMAL DUTIES.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
Art. 95C, §23.

The only changes are technical changes in
style.

17-103. RULES AND REGULATIONS,

THE ADMINISTRATOR MAY ADOPT THE NECESSARY RULES AND
REGULATIONS TO CARRY OUT THE PROVISIONS OF THIS TITLE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
Art. 95C, §24.

The only changes are technical changes in
style.
