ANY CREDITOR WHO VIOLATES ANY PROVISION OF §15-501
IS GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR AND ON CONVICTION IS SUBJECT
TO A FINE NOT EXCEEDING $50.

GENERAL REVISOR'S NOTE

In revising this subtitle, the Commission to Revise
the Annotated Code concluded that present Art. 83, §17,
which relates to records of proceedings as evidence, is
unnecessary in light of §10—102 of the Courts Article.
Consequently, Art. 83, §17 is proposed for repeal.

SUBTITLE 6. ATTACHMENT OF WAGES.

15-601. DEFINITIONS.

(A) IN GENERAL.

IN THIS SUBTITLE THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE MEANINGS
INDICATED.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language used
as the standard introductory language to a
definition section.

(B) EMPLOYEE.

"EMPLOYEE" INCLUDES [[A RESIDENT AND NONRESIDENT
EMPLOYEE]] AN EMPLOYEE WHETHER HE IS A RESIDENT OR
NONRESIDENT OF THE STATE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language
derived without substantive change from Art.
9, §32 and is included here to indicate that
this subtitle applies to both resident and
nonresident employees.

(C) WAGES.

"WAGES" [[HAS THE MEANING STATED IN §3121 OF THE
FEDERAL INTERNAL REVENUE CODE]] MEANS ALL MONETARY
REMUNERATION PAID TO ANY EMPLOYEE FOR HIS EMPLOYMENT.
