The introductory phrase "all acts or parts of
acts inconsistent with this article are hereby
repealed" is deleted as unnecessary.

The reference to present Art. 47 is deleted
because that article is proposed for repeal as
obsolete and preempted by the Federal law.
However the reference to priorities and
preferences in insolvency (Art. 47, §§8, 14,
15, 16 and 17) is retained because this
material is not covered by the Federal law.
See Subtitle 1 of this title. The reference
to Art. 16, §39 is deleted because this
section was repealed by Ch. 36, Acts of 1963.

In addition, the present reference to the
provisions relating to fraudulent conveyances
from a "husband to wife" is modified to comply
with Art. 46 of the Declaration of Rights
which provides that "equality of rights under
the law should not be abridged or denied
because of sex." As modified it simply refers

MARVIN MANDEL, Governor                                 623
