SUBTITLE 10. AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR FACILITIES.
14-1001. DEFINITIONS.

(A)   IN GENERAL.

Ill THIS SUBTITLE THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE
MEANINGS INDICATED.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language used
as the standard introductory language to a
definition section.

(B)   AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR FACILITY.

^"AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR FACILITY" MEANS ANY PERSON WHO
DIAGNOSES OR CORRECTS MALFUNCTIONS OF A MOTOR VEHICLE FOR
FINANCIAL PROFIT.                                                             

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
Art. 83, §50.

The present reference to "corporation,
association, or any garage or other business
establishment" is deleted as unnecessary in
light of the broad definition of the tern
"person."

The only other changes are in style.

(C)   MOTOR VEHICLE.

"MOTOR VEHICLE" HAS THE MEANING STATED IN ARTICLE 66
1/2, §1-149 OF THE CODE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language
added to clarify the meaning of "motor
vehicle" as used in this subtitle.

(D) PERSON.

"PERSON" INCLUDES AN INDIVIDUAL, CORPORATION,
BUSINESS TRUST, ESTATE, TRUST, PARTNERSHIP, ASSOCIATION,
TWO OR MORE PERSONS HAVING A JOINT OR COMMON INTEREST, OR
ANY OTHER LEGAL OR COMMERCIAL ENTITY.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language
setting forth a broad, standardized definition
of the word "person" as used in this article.
It is a synthesis of the U.C.C. definitions of
"person" and "organization" contained in
§1-201 (28) and (30) of this article, except
that the reference to "government or
governmental subdivision or agency" is not
