(D) PERSON.

"PERSON" INCLUDES AN INDIVIDUAL,       CORPORATION,

BUSINESS TRUST, ESTATE, TRUST, PARTNERSHIP,   ASSOCIATION,

TWO OR MORE PERSONS HAVING A JOINT OR COMMON  INTEREST, OR
ANY OTHER LEGAL OR COMMERCIAL ENTITY.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language
setting forth a broad, standardized definition
of the word "person" as used in this article.
It is a synthesis of the U.C.C. definitions of
"person" and "organization" contained in
§1-201 (28) and (30) of this article, except
that the reference to "government or
governmental subdivision or agency" is not
included. This definition is in no way
intended to change the existing law, merely to
clarify it.

14-902. KOSHER MEAT AND FOOD PRODUCTS.

A PERSON MAY NOT:

(1)         WITH INTENT TO DEFRAUD, SELL OR DISPLAY FOR
SALE ANY MEAT WHICH HE FALSELY REPRESENTS AS KOSHER;

(2)       FALSELY REPRESENT ANY FOOD PRODUCT OR THE
CONTENTS OF ANY PACKAGE OR CONTAINER TO BE KOSHER BY
HAVING OR PERMITTING TO BE INSCRIBED ON IT THE WORD
"KOSHER" IN ANY LANGUAGE;

(3)         SELL OR DISPLAY FOR SALE IN THE SAME PLACE OF
BUSINESS BOTH KOSHER AND NONKOSHER MEAT, UNLESS HE
INCLUDES ON EACH WINDOW SIGN AND EACH DISPLAY
ADVERTISEMENT IN BLOCK LETTERS AT LEAST 4 INCHES HIGH THE
WORDS "KOSHER AND NONKOSHER MEAT SOLD HERE"; OR

(4) DISPLAY FOR SALE IN ANY SHOW WINDOW OR PLACE OF
BUSINESS BOTH KOSHER AND NONKOSHER MEAT, UNLESS HE ALSO
DISPLAYS OVER THE KOSHER AND NONKOSHER MEAT SIGNS IN
BLOCK LETTERS AT LEAST 4 INCHES HIGH WHICH READ "KOSHER
MEAT" AND "NONKOSHER MEAT," RESPECTIVELY.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
Art. 27, §196, except for the penalty
provisions of that section, which are
contained in §14—904.

The phrase "with intent to defraud" has been
limited to item (1) of this section since that
appears to have been the intent of the
