SUBTITLE 7. SECONDHAND WATCHES.

14-701. DEFINITIONS.

(A)   IN GENERAL.

IN THIS SECTION THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE
MEANINGS INDICATED.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language used
as the standard introductory language to a
definition section.

(B)   CONSUMER.

"CONSUMER" MEANS A PERSON WHO BUYS FOR HIS OWN USE
OR FOR THE USE OF ANOTHER BUT NOT FOR RESALE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection presently appears as
Art. 27, §224(b).

The only changes are in style.

(C) COUNTY.

"COUNTY" INCLUDES BALTIMORE CITY.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language
added to avoid repetitive reference to
"Baltimore City." Although Art. 1, §14 of the
Code generally provides that "county" includes
Baltimore City, that rule of construction is
repeated here for purposes of emphasis.

(D) PERSON.

"PERSON" INCLUDES AN INDIVIDUAL, CORPORATION,
BUSINESS TRUST, ESTATE, TRUST, PARTNERSHIP, ASSOCIATION,
TWO OR MORE PERSONS HAVING A JOINT OR COMMON INTEREST, OR
ANY OTHER LEGAL OR COMMERCIAL ENTITY.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language
setting forth a broad, standardized definition
of the word "person" as used in this article.
It is a synthesis of the U.C.C. definitions of
"person" and "organization" contained in
§1-201 (28) and (30) of this article, except
that the reference to "government or
governmental subdivision or agency" is not
included. This definition, which replaces
that presently appearing as Art. 27, §224(a),
