PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY

AN ACT to repeal and reenact the following sections
of the Prince George's County Public Local Laws, 1963
edition as amended. Prince George's County Code of
Ordinances and Resolutions, 1967 edition as amended, and
bills which provide for compensation for members of the
Consumer Protection Commission, Fire Commission, Human
Relations Commission, Personnel Board, Landlord and
Tenant Commission, Board of Registration, Commission for
Women, Board of Ethics, Board of Electrical Examiners and
Supervisors, being Section 2(n) of CB-11—1972;
CB-46-1971; CB-1-1972; CB-16-1971; Section 10-21 of the
Code; Section 2-65 of the Code, being CB-77-1972; Section
2-64(c) of the Code, being CB-166-1972; Section 5A-3(a)
of the Code, being CB-41-1974; and Section 6-22 of the
Code, being CB-53—1974; and for any other commissions and
boards that are county funded except for the Labor Board,
Model Neighborhood Action Board, Board of Appeals, and
the Public Employees Relations Board in order to provide
that all members of paid boards and commissions as herein
stated shall be compensated in accordance with a
designated category as established by a new Chapter 3A of
the Prince George's County Code of Ordinances and
Resolutions which generally sets forth three paid
categories of boards and a fourth non—paid category.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED by the County Council of
Prince George's County, Maryland, that Section 2(n) of
CB—11—1972 dealing with the Consumer Protection
Commission is hereby repealed and reenacted with the
following amendments:

Section 2 (n) The members of the Consumer
Protection Commission [, except for members who are
County employees, shall be compensated at the rate of
Fifty Dollars ($50.00) per meeting, for a maximum not to
exceed $1,200.00 per year, for attendance at the meetings
heretofore described of the Commission. The Chairman
shall receive in addition to the compensation for
attendance at Commission meetings, compensation in the
amount of Fifty ($50.00) per day not to exceed
Twenty-Four Hundred Dollars ($2,400,00) a year, for each
day during which he shall be actively engaged in pursuing
the duties of his office. Compensation for expenses of
the citizen members of the Commission and volunteer panel
attorneys and consultants shall be reimbursed if said
expenses are actually and necessarily incurred by them in
performance of their duties within the amount made
available by appropriation for such purposes.] SHALL BE
COMPENSATED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF A
CATEGORY 2 BOARD AS PROVIDED FOR IN CHAPTER 3A.
COMPENSATION FOR EXPENSES OF VOLUNTEER PANEL ATTORNEYS
AND CONSULTANTS SHALL BE REIMBURSED IF SAID EXPENSES ARE
ACTUALLY AND NECESSARILY INCURRED BY THEM IN THE
