bridges closing within the immediate past calendar year
resulting in a change of response distances or errors in
drawing the fire tax district boundaries on the map
required by this Section. Response areas within the
consolidated district shall be developed or amended from
time to time by the county fire board.
SECTION 2. Effective date.
The Council hereby declares that an emergency exists
and that this legislation is necessary for the immediate
protection of public health and safety. Therefore, this
Act shall take effect on the date on which it becomes
law.

AN ACT to amend Article II, titled "Fire Boards," of
Chapter 21, titled "Fire and Rescue Services," of the
Montgomery County Code 1972, by repealing and re-enacting
with amendments Section 21—4 titled "County fire board,"
and to amend Article III, titled "Fire Tax Districts," of
Chapter 21 by repealing and re—enacting with amendments
subsection (a) of Section 21—13, titled "Generally," to
provide for the inclusion of Takoma Park in the
consolidated fire tax district and relating generally
thereto and to provide for changes in fire tax district
boundaries where errors have been made in drawing the map
of such districts provided for by this Chapter.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL FOR MONTGOMERY
COUNTY, MARYLAND, That
Section 1. Section 21-4, title "County fire board,"
of Article II, title "Fire Boards," of Chapter 21, title
"Fire and Rescue Services," of the Montgomery County Code
1972, is hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:
21—4. County fire board.
(a) Established; membership. There is hereby
established a Montgomery County Fire Board to be composed
