health, safety and property and for the control of fire
in the increasingly congested areas of the County and
this Act shall take effect on the date it becomes law.

Bill No. 74-19

AN ACT to repeal and re—enact with amendments Section
254A(b) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford
County (1965 Edition, as amended), heading
"Facilities for the Handicapped"; to correct a
typographical error therein.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
HARFORD COUNTY, MARYLAND, That Section 254A(b) of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Harford County (1965
Edition, as amended), heading "Facilities for the
Handicapped" be, and it is hereby, repealed and
re—enacted with amendments to read as follows:

(b) Existing Public Buildings. By January 1,
1975, all public buildings in Harford County shall have
been modified to provide facilities for the handicapped
in accordance with subparagraph (f) of this Act.
Facilities for the handicapped are not required in
portions of public buildings which are not open to or
used by the general working force or by the general
public.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect sixty (60) days from the date it
becomes law.
