SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, that this
Act, having been passed by the affirmative vote of five
members of the Council, shall take effect 45 days after
its enactment.

HARFORD COUNTY
Bill NO. 74-5

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
232P (a), (b) of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Harford County (1965 Edition, as amended), heading
"Harford County Advisory Council on Drug Abuse"; to
eliminate the Probation Department of Harford County
as a member of the Advisory Council; and to increase
the number of citizens at large sitting on the
Advisory Council.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
HARFORD COUNTY, MARYLAND, That Section 232P (a), (b) of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford County (1965
Edition, as amended), heading "Harford County Advisory
Council on Drug Abuse", be, and it is hereby, repealed
and re—enacted with amendments to read as follows:

232P.

(a)     There is hereby created a Harford County
Advisory Council on Drug Abuse to consist of fifteen (15)
members appointed by the County Executive and confirmed
by the County Council.

(b)     The membership of the Advisory Council shall
consist of one member from each of the following groups:

(1)    Harford County Mental Health Department;

(2)     State of Maryland Department of Parole
and Probation for Harford County;

(3)    Harford County Public School System;

(4)    Harford County Sheriff's Department;

(5)     The Alcohol and Drug Abuse Control
Office of Aberdeen Proving Ground; and
