ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY
YEARS OF ACCEPTABLE COLLEGE TRAINING AND THREE (3) YEARS
OF PROGRESSIVELY RESPONSIBLE EXPERIENCE IN THE ANNE
ARUNDEL COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT OR HIGH SCHOOL AND FIVE
(5) YEARS OF PROGRESSIVELY RESPONSIBLE EXPERIENCE; OR ANY
EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE.
SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That if any
provision of this Ordinance or the application thereof to
any person or circumstance is held invalid for any
reason, such invalidity shall not affect the other
provisions or any other application of this Ordinance
which can be given effect without the invalid provisions
or application, and to this end, all the provisions of
this ordinance are hereby declared to be severable.
SECTION 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this
Ordinance shall take effect forty-five (45) days from the
date it becomes law.

AN ORDINANCE to add new Section 1-205 to the Anne
Arundel County Code (1967 Edition and Supplements), Title
1, "Administration", Subtitle 2, "Personnel", Article II,
"Classified Service", to follow immediately after Section
1—204 thereof, to establish a personal leave day for all
classified employees represented by the American
Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees,
Local 582, affiliated with Maryland Public Employees
Council 67, subject, to certain conditions, and matters
generally related thereto.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MARYLAND, That Section 1-205 be, and
it is hereby added to the Anne Arundel County Code (1967
Edition and Supplements), Title 1, "Administration",
Subtitle 2, "Personnel", Article II, "Classified
Service", to follow immediately after Section 1-204
thereof, and to read as follows:
SECTION 1-205
UPON COMPLETION OF THE SIX (6) MONTH PROBATIONARY
PERIOD, EMPLOYEES REPRESENTED BY THE AMERICAN FEDERATION
OF STATE, COUNTY AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES, LOCAL 582,
AFFILIATED WITH MARYLAND PUBLIC EMPLOYEES COUNCIL 67,
SHALL BE ENTITLED TO ONE (1) PERSONAL LEAVE DAY IN EACH
