AN ACT to add new section 201 B to the Code of
Public Laws of Kent County (1967 Edition and 1970
Supplement, being Article 15 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Kent County", subtitle "County
Commissioners", to follow immediately after section 201 A
thereof, to provide for the acquisition and payment of a
parcel of real estate to be used for a public library.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF KENT COUNTY, MARYLAND, That new Section
201 B be and is hereby added to the Code of Public Local
Laws of Kent County (1967 Edition and 1970 Supplement,
being Article 15 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Kent County", subtitle "County
Commissioners", to follow immediately after section 201 A
thereof and to read as follows:

201 B.

THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF KENT COUNTY ARE HEREBY
AUTHORIZED, IN THEIR DISCRETION, TO BORROW A SUM NOT TO
EXCEED $45,000.00 FROM ANY BANK OR TRUST COMPANY FOR THE
PURPOSE OF PURCHASING A PARCEL OF REAL ESTATE IN THE
FOURTH ELECTION DISTRICT OF KENT COUNTY, MARYLAND, TO BE
USED FOR A PUBLIC LIBRARY. THE LOAN TO BE AMORTIZED
ANNUALLY IN INSTALLMENTS OF TEN THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED
TWENTY-FIVE ($10,825.00) DOLLARS EACH, INCLUDING INTEREST
AT THE RATE OF 4 1/2% PER ANNUM. THE LIBRARY FUNDS
RECEIVED FROM THE STATE AND COUNTY, IN THE AMOUNT OF
EIGHT THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED ($8,100.00) DOLLARS, ARE TO BE
APPLIED AGAINST THE TEN THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED
TWENTY-FIVE ($10,82 5.00) DOLLAR ANNUAL PAYMENT.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED BY THE BOARD
OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF KENT COUNTY, MARYLAND, That
this Act shall take effect on the 17th day of May, 1974.
