RESOLUTION D-1

The Burgess and Commissioners or Woodsboro, Maryland
on this the 6th day of February 1974, do hereby resolve
to establish the Woodsboro Board of Appeals.

Such Board shall consist of three (3) members, all
of whom shall be taxpayers and residents of the town of
Woodsboro. One member of said Board shall be appointed
to serve for a period of one year; one for a period of
two years and one for a period of three years. Members
of the Board shall serve without compensation.

The powers of the Board of Appeals shall be as
follows;

A.    To hear and decide appeals where it is
alleged there is an error in any order, requirement,
decision or determination made by an administrative
official under the provisions of Woodsboro Zoning
Ordinance.

B.    To hear and decide special exceptions to
the terms of the Woodsboro Zoning Ordinance.

C.    To authorize upon appeal in specific
cases such variance from the terms of this ordinance as
will not be contrary to the public safety, health and
general welfare, and will most nearly accomplish the
purpose and intent of the Woodsboro Zoning Ordinance.
