Section 2. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Sections 313
and 314 of the Charter of the Town of New Windsor, are
hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
313.
The inhabitants of [each town included within the
provisions of this Article] THE TOWN OF NEW WINDSOR
within the corporate limits legally established from time
to time are hereby [constituted and/or] continued a body
corporate by the name of "The Town of NEW WINDSOR" [or
"the City of " ] with all the privileges of
a body corporate, by that name to sue and be sued, to
plead and be impleaded in any court of law or equity, to
have and use a common seal and to have perpetual
succession, unless the charter and the corporate
existence are legally aborgated.
314.
The courses and distances showing the exact
corporate limits of the town shall be filed at all times
with the Clerk of the Circuit Court [in the county in
which the town is located] OF CARROLL COUNTY, the
Commissioner of the Land Office [and], the Director of
the Department of Legislative Reference]. In addition,
if the town is already incorporated as a municipal
corporation, or as soon as it becomes incorporated and
begins functioning as such, a copy of the courses and
distances describing the corporate boundaries shall be on
file in] AND the office of the Mayor or of the Town
Clerk. All the officials named in this section are hereby
directed to file or record all such descriptions of
corporate boundaries so filed with them, each in a
suitable book or place, properly indexed and reasonably
available for public inspection during normal business
hours.
THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE TOWN OF NEW WINDSOR ARE
AS FOLLOWS: BEGINNING AT A CONCRETE MONUMENT NOW TO BE
PLANTED AT THE NORTH-EAST CORNER OF THE SAID CORPORATE
LIMITS AND ON A LINE BETWEEN THE LAND OF PAUL E. BUCKEY
AND THE RELIEF CENTER AND RUNNING THENCE WITH THIS LINE,
EXTENDING THE SAME, (1) S. 66 1/2° W., 133.9 RODS TO A
CONCRETE MONUMENT TO BE PLANTED ON THE WEST EDGE OF WATER
STREET, EXTENDED AND PASSING THE MIDDLE OF THE UNIONTOWN
ROAD AT THE END OF 87.1 RODS THEREON; THENCE (2) S. 49°
W., 33.9 RODS TO A CONCRETE MONUMENT TO BE PLANTED ON THE
