this Charter Amendment Resolution.

SECTION SIX

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief Executive
Officer of the Town of La Plata be and he is hereby
specifically enjoined and instructed to carry out the
provisions of Section Five hereof. As evidence of
compliance herewith, the said Chief Executive Officer
shall cause to be filed in the permanent records of the
Town: (1) appropriate certificates of publication of the
newspaper in which the Title of this Resolution shall
have been published; and (2) the return receipts of the
mailing referred to in Section Five.

RESOLUTION NO. FIRST 1974 ANNEXATION

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF LAUREL ADOPTED PURSUANT
TO THE AUTHORITY OF ARTICLE 23A, SECTION 19, TITLED
CORPORATIONS - MUNICIPAL, SUBTITLED ANNEXATION, OF
THE ANNOTATED CODE OF MARYLAND (1966 REPLACEMENT
VOLUME) TO AMEND THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF LAUREL,
BY THE ADDITION THERETO OF SECTION 7B ENTITLED FIRST
1974 ANNEXATION DESCRIBING THE CERTAIN AREA TO BE
ANNEXED AND THE PROVISIONS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH
SAID AREA IS TO BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF LAUREL,
MARYLAND.

THEREFORE: BE IT ENACTED AND ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR
AND CITY COUNCIL OF LAUREL, MARYLAND, that the boundaries
of the City of Laurel as incorporated in the Charter of
said City of Laurel, are amended by the addition of the
First 1974 Annexation, entitled First 1974 Annexation and
the provisions and the conditions of said annexation
shall read as follows:

PROVISIONS. That the corporate boundaries of the
City of Laurel be enlarged to include the hereinafter
described tract of ground and the persons residing in the
area and their property shall and they hereby are added
to the corporate boundaries of the City of Laurel,
