MUNICIPAL CHARTERS

said Code being Article 10 of the Public Local Laws of
Maryland, entitled "Dorchester County", subtitled
"Cambridge", by repealing certain material covered
elsewhere in the Charter.

SECTION 1. BE IT RESOLVED by The Commissioners of
Cambridge that Section 69 of the Charter of said
municipal corporation, entitled "Sidewalks and gutters;
powers", be, and the same is hereby repealed.

SECTION 2. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this
Resolution shall become effective on the 27th day of
March, 1974.

APPROVED this 4th day of February, 1974.

CHARTER AMENDMENT
NO. 78-74-31

RESOLUTION of The Commissioners of Cambridge adopted
pursuant to the authority of Article 11E of the
Constitution of Maryland and Section 13 of Article 23A of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1973 Replacement Volume),
titled "Corporation—Municipal" to amend the Charter of
The Commissioners of Cambridge by repealing and
reenacting, with amendments. Section 69A entitled
"Additional powers as to sidewalk construction" of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Dorchester County (1961
Edition), said Code being Article 10 of the Public Local
Laws of Maryland, entitled "Dorchester County", subtitled
"Cambridge", by empowering the City to construct
sidewalks.

SECTION 1. BE IT RESOLVED by The Commissioners of
Cambridge that the Charter of said municipal corporation
be, and the same is hereby amended by repealing and
reenacting, with amendments, said Section 69A to read as
follows:

69A. Additional Powers as to Sidewalk Construction.

The Commissioners of Cambridge, under its police
power, may by ordinance require the construction of
sidewalks to its specification and grade in any part, or
all of the City of Cambridge, and may designate that
sidewalks shall be constructed in all areas where curbing
is installed. SAID ORDINANCE MAY EMPOWER THE
COMMISSIONERS OF CAMBRIDGE TO CONSTRUCT SIDEWALKS IN
INSTANCES WHERE NECESSARY, THE COST OF WHICH TO BE A LIEN
