provided that this Amendment is compiled and submitted to
the appropriate State Departments in accordance with the
provisions of said Article 23A Section 17A; and provided
further that any section or sections of the Charter of
the town of Boonsboro, Maryland, which are inconsistent
with this amendment, are hereby expressly repealed.
The above Resolution was duly passed by a majority
of all persons constituting the Council of the Mayor and
Council of Boonsboro on October 8, 1974.
AMENDMENT NO. 13
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF
BOONSBORO TO AMEND THE TOWN CHARTER
This Resolution of the Council of the Mayor and
Council of Boonsboro, Maryland, is adopted pursuant to
the authority of Article XI—E of the Constitution of the
State of Maryland and Article 23A Section 13 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland, to amend the Charter of the
Mayor and Council of Boonsboro as said Charter appeared
in the Code of Public Local Laws of Washington County,
1970 Edition, by amending Section 3—37 thereof, entitled
"Park Commission: appointment, officers".
SECTION 1. BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
Mayor and Council of Boonsboro, that Section 3-37 of the
Charter of the Mayor and Council of Boonsboro, entitled
"Park Commission: appointment, officers." as the same
appears in the Code of Public Local Laws of Washington
County (1970) Edition, be and the same is hereby amended
by eliminating from said section that part thereof which
is hereinafter enclosed in double parentheses, and by
adding thereto the new matter which is typed in capital
letters.
3—37. Park Commission: appointment, officers.
The Mayor of Boonsboro, by and with the advice and
consent of the Council, shall immediately after June 1,
1941, appoint five resident tax payers of Boonsboro who
shall be known as and constitute the Park Commission of
Boonsboro, three of whom shall held office until March 1,
1942, and two of whom shall hold office until March 1,
1943, and thereafter the term shall be for two years from
March 1st of the year in which they shall be appointed;
they shall qualify as other officials and shall elect one
