EXECUTIVE ORDERS

Executive Order.

2. The said grievance procedure shall not be
applicable to the following categories of
State employees:

(a)    Persons appointed by the Governor or
whose appointment requires gubernatorial
approval;

(b)    Deputy Attorneys General and Assistant
Attorneys General, including counsel to
the principal departments of the
Executive Branch of the State
Government;

(c)    Chief Deputy Comptroller;

(d)    Chief Deputy Treasurer;

(e)    Persons who are subject to collective
bargaining agreements containing other
grievance procedures;

(f)    Persons who are subject to contracts,
rules, or regulations concerning teacher
tenure, including employees on a faculty
staff;

(g)    Part—time employees, student employees,
and patients and inmates in State
institutions;

(h) Persons in unclassified positions at the
various State Colleges which are
comparable to positions on the
[Associative] ASSOCIATE staff of the
University of Maryland, provided that
the Board of Trustees of the State
Colleges undertake a review of such
positions for the purpose of:

(i) determining which, if any, of such
positions should be classified,
and promptly classifying them and

(ii) determining, as to the rest, what,
if any, changes in the grievance
procedure are appropriate in light
of this Executive Order and the
grievance procedure applicable to
the faculty staff;

(I) ELECTED STATE OFFICIALS;
