Senate Bill 612, which was enacted by the General
Assembly, and signed by me on April 8, 1975, accomplishes
the same purpose.

Therefore, it is unnecessary for me to sign House
Bill 1348

House Bill No. 1422 — Howard County; Traders' Licenses
and Zoning Regulations

AN ACT concerning

Howard County — Trader's Licenses

FOR the purpose of providing that in Howard County the
possession of a trader's license does not authorize
any use that is not permitted by the zoning
regulations; and clarifying language.

May 15, 1975.

Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill
1422.

This bill provides that the possession of a trader's
license, in Howard County, does not authorize any use
that is not permitted by the local zoning regulations.
However, this is already the law, not only in Howard
County, but throughout the State.

What this bill attempts to accomplish is already a
matter of law.

The sponsor of the bill has advised that his
objective was to assure that the activities described in
