House Bill No. 1112 — Anne Arundel County; Taxing Powers

AN ACT concerning

Anne Arundel County — Taxing Powers

FOR the purpose of providing for taxing powers for a
certain period [[with certain limitations to the
County Council]] to the County Council of Anne
Arundel County relating to certain fuels, utilities,
telephone service and space rental; to provide for
the distribution of certain revenues to the City of
Annapolis[[; to provide for the granting of and the
continuation of certain exemptions granted by the
County Council of Anne Arundel County; and providing
that this tax has a certain expiration]].

Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17, of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill
1112.

This bill provides the County Council of Anne
Arundel County with certain taxing powers relating to
certain fuels, utilities, telephone service and space
rental.

Senate Bill 919, which was enacted by the General
Assembly and signed by me on May 15, 1975, accomplishes
the same purpose as House Bill 1112.

Therefore, it is unnecessary for me to sign House
Bill 1112.
