VETOES

Since the only substantive provision of House Bill
373 is accomplished by the signing of House Bill 1581,
there remains only the technical corrections made by
House Bill 373 throughout the alcoholic beverages laws.
These can be disposed of in a corrective bill next year.

For these reasons, I have decided to veto House Bill
373.

Sincerely,

/s/ Marvin Mandel

Governor

House Bill No. 381 — Technical Corrections in School

Laws

AN ACT concerning

Public Education - Technical Correction

FOR the purpose of correcting a technical error in the
laws relating to public education.

May 15, 1975.
Honorable John Hanson Briscoe
Speaker of the House of Delegates
State House
Annapolis, Maryland

Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill
381.

This bill amends Article 77, Section 37(a) of the
Annotated Code of Maryland, to correct a technical error
in the law relating to certain county school board
meetings, officers and expenses.

House Bills 513, 1192, and 1434, which were enacted
by the General Assembly and signed by me on May 15, 1975,
repeal Article 77, Section 37 in its entirety and add new
Section 37 which revises and clarifies without
substantive change those provisions of the law relating
to county school board meetings, officers and expenses.

Because of the inconsistency between House Bill 381,
