House Bill No. 296 — Commission on Intergovernmental

Cooperation

AN ACT concerning

General Assembly — Commission on [[Intergovenmental]]
Intergovernmental Cooperation

FOR the purpose of changing the membership of the
Maryland Commission on Intergovernmental
Cooperation.

May 15, 1975.

Speaker of the House of Delegates

Annapolis, Maryland

Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill
296.

This bill increases the membership of the Maryland
Commission on Intergovernmental Cooperation.

Senate Bill 16, which was enacted by the General
Assembly and signed by me on March 25, 1975, accomplishes
the same purpose as House Bill 296. In addition, Senate
Bill 16 is a broader bill since it allows the Legislative
Council of Maryland to appoint certain other members to
the Commission on Intergovernmental Cooperation.

Therefore, it is unnecessary for me to sign House
Bill 296.
