Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17, of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed Senate Bill
647.

This bill authorizes Baltimore City to borrow thirty
million dollars to make and guarantee loans to purchase
and develop residential property.

House Bill 1014, which was enacted by the General
Assembly and signed by me on April 22, 1975, accomplishes
the same purpose.

Therefore it is unnecessary for me to sign Senate
Bill 647.
