Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17, of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed Senate Bill
442.

This bill authorizes a State debt of fifty million
dollars to assist in the construction and equipping of
sewerage treatment plants and sanitary sever systems.

House Bill 660, which was enacted by the General
Assembly and signed by me on April 22, 1975, accomplishes
the same purpose.

Therefore, it is unnecessary for me to sign Senate
Bill 442.

FOR the purpose of requiring the Secretary of State to
compile annually certain lists of certain
Gubernatorial appointees; specifying certain
information to be contained in the lists; lettering
the sections; and generally relating to the duties
of the Secretary of State with respect to these
lists.
