MARVIN MANDEL, Governor
3933
VETOES
TITLES AND MESSAGES
for the
BILLS VETOED
by the
Governor of Maryland
following the
1975 Regular Session
of the
General Assembly of Maryland
NOTE
Eighty-nine bills were vetoed by the Governor following
the 1975 Regular Session of the General Assembly.
Thirty—one of these bills originated in the Senate, and 58
of them originated in the House of Delegates. Pursuant to
the provisions of Section 17 of Article II of the
Constitution of Maryland, these bills will be returned to
the General Assembly immediately after the Legislature has
organized at the next Regular or Special Session, to be
reconsidered in order to determine whether the veto is
sustained or overridden.
These veto messages include one for House Bill 281,
which was signed by the Governor to become Chapter 886.
That bill is the Capital Improvement Bond Bill, and five
items therein were given an item veto by the Governor. At
the time the other vetoes are submitted to the General
Assembly, the five item vetoes in this bill also will be
presented for a vote on sustaining or overriding the five
item vetoes in Chapter 886 (House Bill 281).
