granted to the Commission or the County Commissioners of
Prince George's County. If this paragraph shall for any
reason be held by any court of competent jurisdiction to
be invalid, it is hereby declared to be the intention of
the General Assembly that this subsection would have been
enacted without the invalid portions.
(d) 1959 Addition in Prince George's County. The
following described areas within Prince George's County
are hereby added to and included within the Metropolitan
District:
(1) Beginning at a point which is the point of
intersection of the present centerline of the
Colesville—Beltsville Road, also known as the Odell Road,
with the Prince George's—Montgomery County Line, thence
generally northeasterly about 1.6 miles along the
aforesaid county line to its intersection with the
dividing line between Election District No. 1 (Vansville)
and Election District No. 10 (Laurel), thence generally
easterly about 6.8 miles along the aforesaid dividing
line to its intersection with the dividing line between
Election District No. 1 (Vansville) and Election District
No. 14 (Bowie), thence generally southerly about 4.9
miles along the aforesaid dividing line to its
intersection with the dividing line between Election
District No, 1 (Vansville) and Election District No. 21
(Berwyn), thence generally westerly about 3.0 miles along
the aforesaid dividing line to its intersection with the
present centerline of Edmonston Avenue and the present
centerline of Beaver Dam Creek, thence generally
southwesterly about 250 feet along the centerline of
Beaver Dam Creek to its intersection with the present
centerline of Indian Creek and the present
Maryland—Washington Metropolitan District Boundary Line,
thence generally northwesterly and westerly about 5.1
miles along the aforesaid boundary line to its
intersection with the Prince George's—Montgomery County
Line, said intersection being the point of beginning.
(2) All of Election District No. 12 (Oxon Hill)
lying southeast of the existing Maryland—Washington
Metropolitan District Boundary Line, excepting that
portion of Oxon Hill Election District included in the
following described area: Beginning at the intersection
of the centerline of Allentown Road with the present
centerline of the Temple Hills Road; thence generally
northerly about 0.6 miles along the aforesaid centerline
to its intersection with the present centerline of the
Brinkley Road; thence westerly about 0.8 miles along the
aforesaid centerline to its intersection with the present
centerline of the right—of—way for the Potomac Electric
Power Company transmission line (approximately 800 feet
east of Henson Creek) thence generally southwesterly
