basis and on a general county—wide ticket; no designation
of party affiliation shall be placed upon any petition
for nomination, nor upon any voting machine, PUNCHCARD
BALLOT, or paper ballot used at any said primary or
general election.

SECTION [[3]] 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That
this Act shall take effect July 1, 1975.

(House Bill 1417)

AN ACT concerning

Montgomery County — Business on Sundays

MC 29A-75

FOR the purpose of allowing all businesses in Montgomery
County to open on Sunday, and permitting certain
employees to choose their own day of rest, and
providing certain penalties for violations[[.]], and
providing that no merchant is required to be open on
Sunday, and providing for a referendum.

BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 534J of Article 27 - Crimes and
Punishments, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971
Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
