AN ACT concerning
Baltimore City — Opening, Closing, or Altering Streets
FOR the purpose of transferring to the City of
Baltimore' Department of Public Works certain
functions that were performed by its former
Department of Assessments; updating certain
references; clarifying language; and generally
relating to opening, closing, or altering streets in
Baltimore City.
BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments,
The Public Local Laws of Baltimore City
Section 21-13, 21-14 and 21-15
Article 4 — Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1969 Edition, as amended)
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 21-13, 21-14 and 21-15 of the
Public Local Laws of Baltimore City being Article 4 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1969 Edition,
as amended) be and they are hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
Article 4
21-13.
Before they [shall] pass any ordinance under
[Section 6 of this] Article[,] TWO OF THE CHARTER OF
BALTIMORE CITY (1964 REVISION) , paragraph "Streets,
Bridges and Highways," relating to the laying out,
opening, extending, widening, straightening, or closing
up, in whole or in part, of any street, square, lane or
alley within Baltimore City, notice shall be given by
advertisement published twice a week for two consecutive
weeks, in two of the daily newspapers in the [said] city,
that application shall be made for the passage of [such]
