SECTION 1. BE IT   ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF

MARYLAND, That Section   690(c) of Article 27 - Crimes and

Punishments, of the     Annotated Code of Maryland (1971

Replacement Volume and   1974 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed:

Article 27 — Crimes and Punishments

[(c) No sentence by any judge to the jurisdiction of
the Department may be for less than three months, any
provision of this article or any other law to the
contrary notwithstanding. Nothing in this section shall
prevent any judge from committing any person under
eighteen years of age to any facility to which minors may
be committed under the law as it existed prior to June 1,
1967.]

(c) No sentence by any judge to the jurisdiction of

contrary notwithstanding.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.
