EXPIRATION DATE BY PAYMENT OF THE FEE. RENEWAL SHALL BE
EVIDENCED BY THE ISSUANCE OF A LICENSE CARD, BEARING THE
DATE OF EXPIRATION AND THE SIGNATURE OF THE CHAIRPERSON
AND SECRETARY OF THE BOARD. UPON FAILURE OF ANY LICENSEE
TO RENEW HIS LICENSE HIS RIGHT TO USE HIS APPROPRIATE
TITLE SHALL BE INVALIDATED, BUT THE LICENSE MAY BE
RENEWED AT ANY TIME WITHIN THE NEXT SUCCEEDING TWELVE
MONTHS UPON THE PAYMENT OF THE FEE. IF ANY LICENSEE
FAILS TO RENEW HIS LICENSE WITHIN THE 12 MONTH PERIOD
PROVIDED ABOVE, AND LATER APPLIES FOR RENEWAL, HE MAY BE
REQUIRED TO PRESENT REASONS FOR HIS RENEWAL,]]
(D) A LICENSE SHALL BE GRANTED FOR A PERIOD OF TWO
YEARS AND SHALL EXPIRE ON OCTOBER 31 OF THE SECOND YEAR.
A LICENSE GRANTED AFTER SEPTEMBER 30 OF EACH YEAR SHALL
EXPIRE OCTOBER 31 OF THE THIRD YEAR. ALL LICENSES
GRANTED ON OR BEFORE SEPTEMBER 30 OF EACH YEAR SHALL
EXPIRE OCTOBER 31 OF THE SUCCEEDING YEAR. EACH LICENSEE
SHALL BE NOTIFIED BY REGULAR MAIL OF THE DATE OF
EXPIRATION OF HIS LICENSE AND THE AMOUNT OF THE FEE
REQUIRED FOR ITS RENEWAL. NOTICE SHALL BE MAILED TO THE
LICENSEE AT HIS LAST KNOWN ADDRESS AT LEAST ONE MONTH IN
ADVANCE OF THE DATE OF EXPIRATION OF THE LICENSE. IT IS
THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE LICENSEE TO NOTIFY THE BOARD OF
ANY CHANGE OF ADDRESS. RENEWAL SHALL BE EVIDENCED BY THE
ISSUANCE OF A LICENSE CARD BEARING THE DATE OF
EXPIRATION. UPON FAILURE OF ANY LICENSEE TO RENEW HIS
LICENSE HIS RIGHT TO PRACTICE SHALL BE SUSPENDED. A
LICENSEE WHO WISHES TO PLACE HIS LICENSE IN INACTIVE
STATUS MAY DO SO UPON PAYMENT OF THE APPROPRIATE FEE FOR
SUCH STATUS. A LICENSEE WHO HAS PLACED HIMSELF IN
INACTIVE STATUS MAY BECOME ACTIVE BY FULFILLING ALL
RENEWAL REQUIREMENTS IN EFFECT AT THE TIME OF CHANGE FROM
INACTIVE TO ACTIVE STATUS. A LICENSE SUSPENDED FOR
FAILURE TO RENEW AS REQUIRED ABOVE MAY BE REINSTATED, AS
PROVIDED BY RULES AND REGULATIONS.
(E) AT THE TIME OF RENEWAL, THE BOARD MAY REQUIRE
THE LICENSEE TO PRODUCE EVIDENCE OF KEEPING ABREAST OF
NEW DEVELOPMENTS IN THE APPLICANT'S AREA OF
SPECIALIZATION IN THE FIELD OF SOCIAL WORK. THIS
REQUIREMENT SHALL BE STANDARDIZED FOR ALL LICENSEES
WITHIN EACH CATEGORY AND WITHIN EACH SPECIALIZATION.
(F) IF THE BOARD DENIES THE ISSUANCE OF A LICENSE
TO ANY APPLICANT, THE INITIAL FEE DEPOSITED SHALL BE
RETAINED AS AN APPLICATION FEE.
(G) THE FEES CHARGED BY THE BOARD SHALL REFLECT
THE MAGNITUDE OF THE BOARD'S WORK IN CONNECTION WITH
PROCESSING APPLICATIONS, ADMINISTERING EXAMINATIONS OF
OTHER CLERICAL WORK NECESSARY IN CARRYING OUT THE
PROVISIONS OF THIS SUBTITLE AND SHALL BE DEPOSITED IN THE
GENERAL FUNDS OF THE STATE. THE FEES CHARGED SHALL NOT
