SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That all laws
or parts of laws, public general or public local,
inconsistent with this Act, are repealed to the extent of
the inconsistency.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.

FOR the purpose of increasing the minimum amount to be
allocated from the State budget each year for
Volunteer Firemen benefits; and clarifying language.

BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments,

Section 44

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1971 Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 44 of Article 38A - Fires and
Investigations, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971
Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

Article 38A — Fires and Investigations
44.

The sum of [twenty thousand three hundred and
twenty-one ($20,321.00) dollars] NOT LESS THAN $55,000
shall be included in the State budget each year for the
purposes set forth in §§ 42, 43 and 45 of this article.
[Such] THESE sums shall be administered and expended by
the board of trustees of the Maryland State Firemen's
Association.
