corporation, and [said citizens' committee] THE VILLAGE
COUNCIL is authorized to act for [said] THE corporation.

66-12.

The treasurer of [said] THE "Friendship Heights
[Citizens' Committee"] VILLAGE COUNCIL" shall deposit all
funds coming into his hands, as such, in [such] WHATEVER
depositary or depositaries as directed by the majority
vote of the [said committee] [[VILLAGE]] VILLAGE COUNCIL,
to his credit, as [such] treasurer, and that the
treasurer of [said committee] THE VILLAGE COUNCIL [shall]
[[MAY]] shall not dispose of any of the funds coming into
his hands, as such treasurer, except upon check duly
signed by him, as such treasurer, and countersigned by
the chairman of [said committee] THE VILLAGE COUNCIL, or
some member thereof acting as chairman. [Such] THE
acting chairman shall be duly authorized to act by
resolution of [said committee] THE VILLAGE COUNCIL, which
must be first placed upon the minutes of the [committee]
VILLAGE COUNCIL, to be provided therefor.

[["]]SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, THAT THE
PURPOSE OF THIS ACT IS SOLELY FOR CHANGING THE NAME OF
THE FRIENDSHIP HEIGHTS CITIZENS' COMMITTEE AND MAKING
OTHER CLARIFYING CHANGES OF A NON-SUBSTANTIAL NATURE.
THIS ACT SHALL HAVE NO EFFECT UPON THE CONTINUATION OF
THE VILLAGES KNOWN AS "FRIENDSHIP HEIGHTS" AND "THE
HILLS" OR, EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN THIS ACT, ON THE
GOVERNMENT OR AFFAIRS OF THESE VILLAGES AND OF THE
GOVERNING BODY THEREOF [FRIENDSHIP HEIGHTS CITIZENS'
COMMITTEE], THIS [[GOVERNING]] [[BODY]] ACT SHALL HAVE
NO EFFECT UPON THE RIGHTS, PRIVILEGES, OR DUTIES OF ANY
PERSON EXCEPT AS IN THIS ACT SPECIFICALLY PROVIDED, ALL
ASSETS, RIGHTS, PRIVILEGES, DUTIES, OBLIGATIONS AND DEBTS
OF THE FRIENDSHIP HEIGHTS CITIZENS' COMMITTEE ARE
CONTINUED AND SHALL BE THE ASSETS, RIGHTS, PRIVILEGES,
DUTIES, OBLIGATIONS AND DEBTS OF THE FRIENDSHIP HEIGHTS
[VILLAGE COUNCIL] VILLAGE COUNCIL[["]].

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.
