that, with respect to deliberations on land and site
acquisitions, personnel and labor relations, the board
shall have the power to meet and deliberate in executive
session.

(c)    In Talbot County, each member of the county
Board of Education shall receive reimbursement in the
amount of three hundred dollars ($300.00) each year for
travel and shall receive twenty—five dollars ($25.00) per
each meeting attended on behalf of the county for other
expenses.

(d)   In Allegany County, each member of the Board of
Education shall receive reimbursement in the amount of
three hundred dollars annually for traveling and other
expenses.]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That new
Section 37 be and it is hereby added to Article 77 -
Public Education, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969
Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement) to read as
follows:

Article 77 — Public Education

37. MEETINGS; OFFICERS; EXPENSES

(A)   (1) THE COUNTY BOARDS OF EDUCATION SHALL HOLD
AN ANNUAL MEETING ON OR AS NEAR AS POSSIBLE TO THE SECOND
TUESDAY IN JULY.

(2)    IN MONTGOMERY COUNTY THE ANNUAL MEETING
SHALL BE HELD ON OR BEFORE JANUARY 10.

(3)     IN PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY THE ANNUAL
MEETING SHALL BE HELD AS PROVIDED IN SECTION 36C(E) OF
THIS ARTICLE.

(B)     (1) AT THE ANNUAL MEETING THE COUNTY BOARD
SHALL ELECT ONE OF ITS MEMBERS AS PRESIDENT AND ONE AS
VICE-PRESIDENT.

(2) IN HOWARD COUNTY THE BOARD SHALL ELECT
ITS CHAIRMAN AS PROVIDED IN SECTION 36B(E)(1).

(C)    ADDITIONAL MEETINGS OF THE COUNTY BOARDS MAY
BE HELD AS THEIR DUTIES AND BUSINESS REQUIRE.

(D)     (1) ALL FINAL ACTIONS OF COUNTY BOARDS SHALL
BE TAKEN AT A PUBLIC MEETING. THE MINUTES OF THESE
MEETINGS SHALL BE AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC.
