MARYLAND, That Section 7(b) of Article 2B - Alcoholic

Beverages, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968

Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement) be and it is

hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

Article 2B — Alcoholic Beverages

7.

(b) The holder of a manufacturer's or wholesaler's
license [shall] MAY not sell or deliver alcoholic
beverages to any person in this State other than a
licensee or permit holder, EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN SECTION
25(B-1).

SECTION 2, AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That new
Section 25(b-1) be and it is hereby added to Article 2B —
Alcoholic Beverages, of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1968 Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement) to read as
follows:

(B-1) WHENEVER A SPECIAL ONE DAY LICENSE IS ISSUED
UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF SUBSECTION (B) ABOVE, THE HOLDERS
OF WHOLESALE LICENSES MAY ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH
THE HOLDER OF A SPECIAL ONE DAY LICENSE TO DELIVER BEER
OR WINE TWO DAYS PRIOR TO THE EFFECTIVE DATE, AND TO
ACCEPT RETURNS TWO DAYS AFTER THE EXPIRATION DATE OF THE
SPECIAL LICENSE; PROVIDED HOWEVER THAT DELIVERY OF THE
BEER OR WINE ONLY MAY BE MADE IF THE HOLDER OF THE
SPECIAL LICENSE HAS IN HAND THE SPECIAL LICENSE AT TIME
OF DELIVERY.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.
