THE REMEDIES PROVIDED IN THIS SUBTITLE ARE
CUMULATIVE.

The Commission notes that this provision
apparently was intended to permit remedies
cumulative both as to those provided by this
subtitle, and as to those provided by any
other law. This conclusion is in accord with
the stated broad purpose of this subtitle and
the expression of intent that it be "liberally
construed" to serve those purposes. Cf.
§11-202. It also follows from the generally
accepted rule of construction applicable to
provisions for cumulative remedies. See, e.g.,
1 C.J.S. Actions §6.

11-212. PENALTIES.

ANY PERSON MHO WILLFULLY VIOLATES ANY OF THE
PROVISIONS OF §11-204 (A) (1) OR (2) OF THIS SUBTITLE IS
GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR AND ON CONVICTION IS SUBJECT TO A
FINE NOT EXCEEDING $500,000 OR IMPRISONMENT NOT EXCEEDING
SIX MONTHS OR BOTH.
