BY repealing and re-enacting, with amendments,

Article 77A — Higher Education

Section 12(b), 12-1, 14, 15(b), 28 and 54

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1969 Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 5 of Article 30 - Deaf, Mute or
Blind, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971
Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

Article 30 — Deaf, Mute or Blind

5.

General supervision and control of all such training
and employment centers shall be vested in a board of
eleven trustees, nine of whom shall be appointed by the
Governor, by and with the advice of the Senate, and two
shall be elected by the board of directors of the
Maryland School for the Blind; and the term of the
members of said board shall be for a period of two years
from the date of their appointment, or until their
successors shall have been appointed and qualified, and
whenever a vacancy shall occur on said board it shall be
filled for the unexpired term by vote of the said members
of the board remaining. The board, which shall serve
without compensation, shall make timely recommendations
to the Governor concerning appointments. MEMBERS SHALL BE
REIMBURSED FOR EXPENSES INCURRED WHILE ACTUALLY ENGAGED

IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THEIR DUTIES, IN ACCORDANCE WITH
STANDARD TRAVEL REGULATIONS,

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section
409B(b) of Article 41 — Governor - Executive and
Administrative Departments, of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement) be
and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
