BY repealing and re-enacting, with amendments,

Article 43 - Health

Sections 120, 130(f), 259, 294(c), 371, 470, 482,

509, 606, 623, 801, and 805
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1971 Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 120, 130(f), 259, 294(c), 371,
470, 482, 509, 606, 623, 801, and 805 of Article 43 -
Health, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971
Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement) be and they are
hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

Article 43 - Health

120.

The Board of Medical Examiners of the State of
Maryland is hereby established, as part of the Department
of Health and Mental Hygiene.

(1)    It shall consist of eight members
elected by the Medical and Chirurgical Faculty of the
State of Maryland. Two members to be elected by the
Faculty each year. Their terms shall commence first day
of June next following their election. The Board of
Medical Examiners of the State of Maryland, as
constituted on June 30, 1970, shall continue as
constituted at that time, with each member serving for
the remainder of the time for which he was selected.

(2)    The members shall be physicians
practicing medicine in the State of Maryland.

(3)    A majority of the members of the Board
constitutes a quorum.

(4)    The members shall serve a four—year term
and may succeed themselves.

(5)    In the event of a vacancy, the Board
shall select a new member to serve until his successor,
elected at the next annual meeting of the Faculty, to
serve for the remainder of such unexpired term.

(6) The Secretary of Health and Mental
