SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That if any
provision of this Act or the application thereof to any
person or circumstance is held invalid for any reason,
the invalidity shall not affect the other provisions or
any other application of this Act which can be given
effect without the invalid provisions or application, and
to this end all the provisions of this Act are declared
to be severable.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.

Employees — Minimum Wage

FOR the purpose of basing the State minimum wage rate
under certain conditions on the minimum wage rate
set forth in the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act,
and generally relating to the State minimum wage.

BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 83 (1) and (2) of Article 100 -
Work, Labor and Employment, of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement) be
and they are hereby repealed and re—enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
