AN ACT concerning

University of Maryland — Board of Regents
Meetings

FOR the purpose of providing for the Chairman of the
Senate Budget and Taxation Committee and the
Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee to
sit with the Board of Regents for certain meetings.

BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments,

Article 77A - Higher Education

Section 15(e)(4)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1969 Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 15(e)(4) of Article 77A - Higher
Education, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969
Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

Article 77A — Higher Education

15.

(e) (4) The Governor, the State Treasurer, and
the State Comptroller shall be notified of all meetings
of the board of regents and shall have authority to sit
with the board, which authority they may exercise at
their convenience. The State budget director, and the
chairman of the Senate [Finance] Finance AND BUDGET AND
TAXATION [[Committee]] COMMITTEES and the chairman of the
House [Ways and Means] Ways and Means AND APPROPRIATIONS
[[Committee]] COMMITTEES shall be invited to sit with the
board in meetings at which requests for appropriations
are prepared.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.
