(C) ANY VOLUNTEER FIREMAN OR RESCUE SQUAD MEMBER
REFERRED TO IN SECTION 21(B) (4) OF THIS ARTICLE WHOSE
COMPENSABLE CLAIM RESULTS FROM A CONDITION OR IMPAIRMENT
OF HEALTH CAUSED BY LUNG DISEASES, HEART DISEASES OR
HYPERTENSION SUFFERED IN THE LINE OF DUTY SHALL RECEIVE
THE BENEFITS PROVIDED FOR IN THIS SECTION IF THAT PERSON
HAS MET A SUITABLE STANDARD OF PHYSICAL EXAMINATION FOR
MEMBERSHIP.

[[(D) ANY VOLUNTEER FIREMAN OR RESCUE SQUAD MEMBER
REFERRED TO IN SECTION 21(B) (4) OF THIS ARTICLE, IN
SERVICE ON OR BEFORE JULY 1, 1972, SHALL RECEIVE THE
BENEFITS FOR WHICH PROVISION IS MADE IN THIS SECTION
WITHOUT THE REQUIRED PHYSICAL EXAMINATION, IF THAT PERSON
IS CERTIFIED AS ELIGIBLE BY THE PRESIDENT AND CHIEF OF
HIS DEPARTMENT.]]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 27(b) of Article 101 - Workmen's
Compensation, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964
Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
