Commission of Maryland shall receive a salary of
[twenty-eight thousand dollars ($28,000)] $33,500 per
annum and each of the other members of the Commission
shall receive a salary of [twenty—seven thousand dollars
($27,000)] $32,000 per annum.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.

AN ACT concerning
Surface Mining — Minerals Other Than Coal
FOR the purpose of regulating the surface mining of
minerals other than coal; establishing a Surface
Mined Land Reclamation Fund; providing for uses of
the Fund; providing for surface mine inspectors;
requiring licenses and permits for surface mining;
establishing fees; requiring reclamation plans,
performance bonds or cash deposits, and reports;
providing for exemptions; authorizing the Secretary
of Natural Resources to adopt rules and regulations
to administer this Act; and generally relating to
the surface mining of minerals other than coal.
BY adding to
Article — Natural Resources
Sections [[7-7B01 through 7-7B31]] 7-6A01 through
7-6A31, inclusive, to be
under the new subtitle "[[7B]] 6A. Surface Mining"

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Sections [[7-7B01 through 7-7B31]]

hereby added to Article — Natural Resources, of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1974 Volume and 1974
