Article 77A — Higher Education
40A.
Firemen [and] RESCUE SQUADMEN, volunteer firemen
AND VOLUNTEER RESCUE SQUADMEN shall be entitled to
reimbursement by the State for tuition costs of programs
of study which are credited toward the requirements of a
collegiate degree in "fire service technology" OR RELATED
COURSES in accredited institutions in Maryland,
Reimbursement shall be made one year after successful
completion of each academic year of study, and shall only
be made upon the condition that the individual applying
for [such] THE reimbursement is still employed as a
fireman OR RESCUE SQUADMAN in any organized fire
department OR RESCUE SQUAD in the State, or is still
actively engaged as volunteer fireman OR VOLUNTEER RESCUE
SQUADMAN in an organized volunteer fire department OR
VOLUNTEER RESCUE SQUAD in the State. Reimbursement
requests shall be administered by the State Scholarship
Board.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.

AN ACT concerning
Motor Vehicles — Transfer of Registration
FOR the purpose of requiring the registered owner of a
motor vehicle that is to be scrapped, dismantled, or
destroyed to deliver or mail the registration card
and license plates to the Motor Vehicle
Administration unless transferring the plates to
another vehicle; If providing that the purchaser or
assignee immediately surrender the registration card
and license plates of the vehicle to the
Administration if the previous owner fails to do
so;]] correcting certain obsolete terms; and
clarifying language.
