WITHOUT GOOD CAUSE, REFUSES TO CONSENT TO THE TREATMENT.

3-823. LIMITATIONS ON PLACE OF COMMITMENT.

(A)    A CHILD MAY NOT BE COMMITTED OR TRANSFERRED TO
A PENAL INSTITUTION OR OTHER FACILITY USED PRIMARILY FOR
THE CONFINEMENT OF ADULTS CHARGED WITH OR CONVICTED OF A
CRIME, EXCEPT [[PRUSUANT]] PURSUANT TO §3-816(B).

(B)    A CHILD WHO IS NOT [[DELEQUENT]] DELINQUENT
MAY NOT BE COMMITTED OR TRANSFERRED TO A FACILITY USED
FOR THE CONFINEMENT OF DELINQUENT CHILDREN [[13 YEARS OLD
OR OLDER. A DELINQUENT CHILD UNDER THE AGE OF 13 YEARS
MAY NOT BE COMMITTED OR TRANSFERRED TO A FACILITY USED
FOR THE CONFINEMENT OF DELINQUENT CHILDREN 13 YEARS OF
AGE OR OLDER]].

3-824. EFFECT OF PROCEEDINGS UNDER SUBTITLE.

(A)    AN ADJUDICATION OF A CHILD PURSUANT TO THIS
SUBTITLE IS NOT CRIMINAL CONVICTION FOR ANY PURPOSE AND
DOES NOT IMPOSE ANY OF THE CIVIL DISABILITIES ORDINARILY
IMPOSED BY A CRIMINAL CONVICTION. HOWEVER, AN
ADJUDICATION OF A CHILD AS DELINQUENT BY REASON OF HIS
VIOLATION OF THE STATE VEHICLE LAIS SHALL, UPON ORDER OF
THE COURT, BE REPORTED BY THE CLERK OF THE COURT TO THE
MOTOR VEHICLE ADMINISTRATION, WHO MAY ASSESS POINTS
PURSUANT TO ARTICLE 66 1/2, [[§ 402]] §6-402 AGAINST THE
CHILD, IN THE SAME MANNER AND TO THE SAME EFFECT AS IF
THE CHILD HAD BEEN CONVICTED OF THE OFFENSE.

(B)    AN ADJUDICATION AND DISPOSITION OF A CHILD
PURSUANT TO THIS SUBTITLE ARE NOT ADMISSIBLE AS EVIDENCE
AGAINST THE CHILD IN ANY CRIMINAL PROCEEDING PRIOR TO
CONVICTION, OR IN ANY OTHER PROCEEDING.

(C)    EVIDENCE GIVEN IN A PROCEEDING UNDER THIS
SUBTITLE IS NOT ADMISSIBLE AGAINST THE CHILD IN ANY OTHER
PROCEEDING IN ANOTHER COURT, EXCEPT IN A CRIMINAL
PROCEEDING WHERE THE CHILD IS CHARGED WITH PERJURY AND
THE EVIDENCE IS RELEVANT TO THAT CHARGE AND IS OTHERWISE
ADMISSIBLE.

(D)    AN ADJUDICATION OR DISPOSITION OF A CHILD
UNDER THIS SUBTITLE SHALL NOT DISQUALIFY THE CHILD WITH
RESPECT TO EMPLOYMENT IN THE CIVIL SERVICE OF THE STATE
OR ANY SUBDIVISION OF THE STATE.

3-825. EFFECTIVE PERIOD OF ORDER OF COMMITMENT; RENEWAL
OF ORDER

(A) EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN SUBSECTIONS (B)[[,]] AND
