shall apply only to injuries occurring after July 1,
1975.

shall take effect July 1, 1975.

AN ACT concerning

Insurance — Professional liability Fund

FOR the purpose of providing for a professional liability
pool to provide malpractice insurance at standard
rates for risks unable to secure coverage through
the standard market; to authorize the Board of
Governors and the Administrative Committee of the
Joint Insurance Association to administer the pool;
to establish a plan of operation to provide for the
management and supervision of the pool; to permit
the issuance of general provisions for a plan of
operation; to provide immunity from civil liability
for all agents and employees of the pool, Board of
Governors and Commissioner to provide for hearings
and judicial review in connection with the operation
of the pool; and providing an automatic termination
date for this act; and generally relating to a
professional liability pool.

Article 48A — Insurance Code

Sections 517 through 554, inclusive, to be under the

new subtitle "Professional Liability Fund"
Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Sections 547 through 554, inclusive,
to be under the new subtitle "Professional Liability
Fund" be and they are hereby added to Article 48A -
Insurance Code, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1972
