BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments,

The Public Local Laws of St. Mary's County
Section 7A

Article 19 — Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1965 Edition and 1974 Supplement, as amended)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 7A of the Public Local Laws of St.
Mary's County being Article 19 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1965 Edition and 1974 Supplement,
as amended) be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

Article 19

7A.

The St. Mary's County Circuit Court resident judge
may appoint a Law Clerk who shall receive an annual
compensation, the amount to be fixed by the County
Commissioners after consultation with the resident
judge[[, not in excess of [seven thousand ($7,000.00)]
$8,500 dollars]]. [Said] THE compensation shall be
provided for in the annual levy and paid as other
expenses and salaries are paid for the conduct of the
business of [said] THE Circuit Court.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.
