14-1009. PENALTIES.

[[A VIOLATION OF THIS SUBTITLE SHALL BE CONSIDERED
AN UNFAIR OR DECEPTIVE TRADE PRACTICE UNDER §13-301 OF
THIS ARTICLE. THE CONSUMER PROTECTION DIVISION OF THE
ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE SHALL ENFORCE THE PROVISIONS OF
THIS SUBTITLE BY ANY MEANS PROVIDED IN SUBTITLE 4 OF
TITLE 13 OF THIS ARTICLE]] A VIOLATION OF ANY PROVISION
OF THIS SUBTITLE IS AN UNFAIR OR DECEPTIVE PRACTICE
WITHIN THE MEANING OF TITLE 13 OF THIS ARTICLE AND IS
SUBJECT TO THE ENFORCEMENT AND PENALTY PROVISIONS
CONTAINED IN TITLE 13.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect January 1, 1976.

State Boat Act — Security Interests

FOR the purpose of establishing a procedure for the
recordation and perfection of security interests to
a vessel; requiring security interests to be
indicated on the certificate of title; providing
exceptions; establishing the Clerks of Court
deficiency fund to offset any deficiencies to their
offices; eliminating the recordation tax on written
lien instruments on vessels and creating a special
fund for accumulation and distribution to the
