FOR the purpose of modifying the laws relating to
payments for care and services in certain public
facilities and programs under the jurisdiction of
the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene;
authorizing the Secretary of Health and Mental
Hygiene to determine the costs of such care and
services, to fix the amounts of payment to be
charged persons responsible therefor, and to make
collections; authorizing the Secretary of Health and
Mental Hygiene to require and approve setting of
charges and require collections for all health
services provided by political subdivisions and
grantees under certain conditions; clarifying
language; and relating generally to these public
facilities and to purchased health and mental care
in certain other facilities.
