The word "mail" is defined in Title 1 of this
article.

The provisions of present §318(d) are retained
in Subtitle 19 of Art. 48A with the other

6-412. OFFICERS.

(A)   ELECTION.

(1)   THE OFFICERS, TRUSTEES, DIRECTORS, OR
OTHER PERSONS WHO HAVE AND EXERCISE THE GENERAL CONTROL
OF THE MANAGEMENT OF THE AFFAIRS AND FUNDS OF THE SOCIETY
SHALL BE ELECTED BY THE SUPREME LEGISLATIVE OR GOVERNING
BODY OF THE SOCIETY.

(2)   THE ELECTION SHALL BE HELD NOT LATER THAN
ONE YEAR FROM THE DATE OF THE ISSUANCE OF A PERMANENT
CERTIFICATE UNDER §6-409 OF THIS SUBTITLE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection presently appears as
the last provision of Art. 48A, §310(c).

(B)   LIABILITY.

THE OFFICERS OF A GRAND, SUPREME, OR SUBORDINATE
LODGE OR BRANCH OF A SOCIETY ARE NOT PERSONALLY LIABLE
FOR PAYMENT OF ANY BENEFIT PROVIDED BY THE SOCIETY.
