CORPORATION AND PERFORM PERSONAL SERVICES FOR THE PUBLIC
THROUGH THAT CORPORATION; OR

(2) A CORPORATION ORGANIZED BEFORE JULY 1,
1969, BY AN INDIVIDUAL OR GROUP MENTIONED IN PARAGRAPH
(1) OF THIS SUBSECTION.

(B) BRINGING CORPORATION UNDER ACT.

AN INDIVIDUAL, GROUP, OR CORPORATION EXCEPTED FROM
THE APPLICATION OF THIS SUBTITLE BY SUBSECTION (A) MAY
BRING ITSELF WITHIN THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SUBTITLE BY:

(1)    ADOPTING OR AMENDING ARTICLES OF
INCORPORATION TO COMPLY WITH THIS SUBTITLE; AND

(2)    IF ALREADY A CORPORATION, INCLUDING A
STATEMENT IN ITS CHARTER THAT THE STOCKHOLDERS ELECTED TO
BRING THE CORPORATION UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
SUBTITLE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
Art. 23, §432.

The language of present Art. 23, §432 provides
that "individuals or groups of individuals or
any such corporation" could bring themselves
under this subsection by "amending the
articles of incorporation" and including a
statement in the amended articles that the
shareholders elected to bring the corporation
under this subtitle. This language creates a
non sequitur since an individual, not being a
corporate body, has no articles to amend; to
cure this ambiguity, the word "adopting" is
added to subsection (b)(1) of this section,
and the words "if already a corporation" are
added to subsection (b) (2).

The only other changes are in style.

5-104. CORPORATION NOT TO ENGAGE IN OTHER BUSINESS;
INVESTMENTS; OWNERSHIP OF PROPERTY.

(A)   BUSINESS OF CORPORATION LIMITED,

A PROFESSIONAL CORPORATION MAY NOT ENGAGE IN ANY
BUSINESS OTHER THAN THE PERFORMANCE OF THE PROFESSIONAL
SERVICE FOR WHICH IT WAS SPECIFICALLY INCORPORATED.

(B)   CORPORATE INVESTMENT AND OWNERSHIP OF PROPERTY.

NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF LAW, A
PROFESSIONAL CORPORATION MAY INVEST ITS FUNDS IN REAL
