3-504, PUBLICATION AND NOTICE OF PROCLAMATION; EFFECT OF
COMPLIANCE.

(A)   PUBLICATION AND NOTICE.

(1)     THE GOVERNOR SHALL PUBLISH HIS
PROCLAMATION ONCE A WEEK FOR FOUR SUCCESSIVE SEEKS IN AT
LEAST THREE DAILY NEWSPAPERS OF GENERAL CIRCULATION
PUBLISHED IN THE STATE, INCLUDING AT LEAST ONE PUBLISHED
IN BALTIMORE CITY.

(2)    WITHIN TEN DAYS AFTER THE FIRST
PUBLICATION, THE DEPARTMENT SHALL MAIL NOTICE OF THE
PROCLAMATION TO EACH CORPORATION NAMED IN IT. THE NOTICE
SHALL BE ADDRESSED TO THE CORPORATION AT ITS MAILING
ADDRESS ON FILE WITH THE DEPARTMENT OR, IF NONE, AT ANY
OTHER ADDRESS APPEARING ON TEE RECORDS OF THE DEPARTMENT.

(B)   EFFECT OF PAYMENT OF TAXES,

(1)    A CORPORATION WHICH PAYS ALL TAXES,
INTEREST, AND PENALTIES DUE, FILES THE ANNUAL REPORT DUE,
OR BOTH, AS THE CASE MAY BE, AFTER ANY PUBLICATION SHALL
BE OMITTED FROM SUBSEQUENT PUBLICATIONS.

(2)    A CORPORATION WHICH PAYS ALL TAXES,
INTEREST, AND PENALTIES DUE, FILES THE ANNUAL REPORT DUE,
OR BOTH, AS THE CASE MAY BE, WITHIN 60 DAYS AFTER THE
FIRST PUBLICATION SHALL HAVE ITS CHARTER REINSTATED AS OF
THE DATE OF FORFEITURE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
the last four sentences of Art. 81, §204(a).

Subsection (b) of this section is redrafted to
provide that compliance after "any
publication" is sufficient, and will result in
the corporation being dropped from subsequent
publications. This conforms with the present
practice, and the apparent meaning of "after"
the first publication.

The only other changes are in style.

3-505. ADDITIONAL NOTICE BY SECRETARY OF STATE.

THE SECRETARY OF STATE SHALL SEND COPIES OF THE
PROCLAMATION TO THE STATE COMPTROLLER, STATE TREASURER,
AND THE DEPARTMENT. THEY SHALL NOTE ON THEIR RESPECTIVE
